I think i'm going to choose calisthenics over having a gym bod. First off all, i would not need gym membership or all of those equipment. And  I've seen construction workers, fishermen, provincial farmers and rice miller workers. Their physique is more like bruce lee and manny pacquiao.

Not that am gonna get there (without roids) but the goal of the gym bod just looks.... A bit of a caricature to me. It's the male equivalent of female airbag butts, thick eyebrows and snuffleafagus eyelashes.

There will always be outliers in any field i suppose. Some scientists whose papers paid by exxon mobil say that man made climate change is non existent or at least inconclusive.

Do you know that 9 out of 10 doctors recommend camel cigarettes? Formula milk, hydrogenized vegetable oil, drugs for sleeping, drugs for getting thin *1, drugs for getting depressed or uh... chemical imbalance... health and medicine industry has been messy eh?

*1 unfortunate product naming and baaad timing https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UuLndi3kFTM

================

I'm not even absolutely sure who to listen to anymore. Pero ganito nalang regimen ko.

8 hours, 9pm-5am.

Walks and jogs 6k-10 per day.

No more extra rice.

No unnecessary snacking. (Say no to 7-11 or ministop.)

12 hour eating window.

All of these with the magic ingredient of... consistency. If i made an oopsie, laban lang. Altec's magic formula of how to lose 3 pounds in 4 years hahaha =).

Yes and doctors used to prescribe cocaine and meth too.

I'm reminded of this quote.

^ yeah that doctor is a bit weird to advocate eschewing vegetables and fruits.

there is one vegan that went to carnivore & fixed a lot of here joint pains & health issues. Plants can't protect themselves so they use their own body chemicals like lectins, poisonous sap etc. so as not to be eaten. Like what was said before our stomach acid is really strong but still it can't digest fiber & other plants that's why there are "see you tomorrow" plants like the skin of tomato, kangkong, corn etc.

All her health markers are good when she takes her yearly physical exam & she's off Fruits & plants for 12 years. I think we where fed an incomplete information about foods & they say it's all about marketing & those big bizz are to blame for this metabolic syndrome that the world now is facing. Some doctors now are also changing their stance on carnivore diet.

here's one from our own
From VEGETARIAN to CARNIVORE A Personal Testimony in HEALING

Healing with the Carnivore Diet!

Last year I made myself a good heap of fresh salad lots o lettuce, tomato, cucumber, washed them really good & it was ok. that night I had an abdominal pain that it was so severe I had to go t the hospital. Doc said I might have had SIBO (severe intestinal bacteria overgrowth) coz of the veggies

Well its all in moderation. humans are omnivores, just look at the layout of our teeth. You got canine teeth to tear out meat, molars to grind veggies and grains. Di naman pwedeng i-digest at absorb mo lahat ng kinakain mo, you got to let out waste and toxins (in the poop and piss).

agree with boss lahar here. eating less is the key. Pero I also believe that almost total elimination of table sugar in our diet will prevent future problems.

I don't rely on feeling full anymore. I pre-portion the rice and ulam so that I do not over eat. breakfast ko dati 2 full sandwiches or rice, ngayon 1 or 2 pandesal na lang. If I feel hungry in the middle of the day I have a banana or another pandesal. After a few weeks nasanay na din tiyan ko sa smaller portions.

pero it is still a struggle kasi masarap talaga kumain...

I just got my APE results and all indicators are good/normal, aside from slightly low iron. The recommendation is to take supplements or eat even more meat lol. For the record I'm not on a carnivore diet and actually take in a lot of sugar (from drinks/pastries), but I'm low on rice/veg/carbs and high on meat/fish.

From what I've heard/read anti-oxidants aren't an issue even if you go full carnivore. The body will produce what it needs, and inflammation will be low to begin with. Also meat has anti-oxidants, or stuff that acts like anti-oxidants.

Dang! it's hard to get good cheese here in the middle kingdom, last one I bought was awesomely bitter! During my search it could be that the process was not right or was infected with a different kind of bacteria.

I tried goat cheese, really sour
Masarap pa yung mga cheese dyan sa atin like Kraft & Eden

During one of my obligatory seminars in grad school I learned that as much as 70% of the "cheeses" sold in supermarkets is not really cheese by official definition.

I believe they're called "processed cheese" if I'm not mistaken.

You should check out the recommended routine over at reddit.com/r/bodyweightfitness as well, along with fitnesssfaqs, calisthenicmovement, and the bioneer youtube channels.  They don't talk much about nutrition though, so check jeff nippard/jeremy ethier as well.

let's create a health thread here... I've been worried about my health too. consulted a  doc yesterday and said to me that I have "controlled" type 2 diabetes.  she explain to me that if I didn't control my sugar it will lead to stroke, heart attack etc...   lab tests show I got 6.6 hba1c, fbc is 124 and ldl 130  whew :(. creatinine at stage 2 already.  less rice on my meal and more veggies. luckily its okay to drink diet soda.
I love the smell of napalm in the morning!
