OpenDNS sucks and nobody should use it.
Their "DNS" behaves nothing like a proper
RFC-compliant DNS server.
Hijacked results on any failed lookup:
C:\Users\splerdu>nslookup abxbxbxbcdefg.com
Server: resolver1.opendns.com
Address: 208.67.222.222
Non-authoritative answer:
Name: abxbxbxbcdefg.com
Address: 67.215.65.132What happened to my NXDOMAIN error?? Now with google DNS:
C:\Users\splerdu>nslookup abxbxbxbcdefg.com
Server: google-public-dns-a.google.com
Address: 8.8.8.8
*** google-public-dns-a.google.com can't find abxbxbxbcdefg.com: Non-existent domainAnd let's not forget their shenanigans from before, like sending certain sites (google) to an their own internal forwarder. Who's to say they weren't capturing your searches, leave alone very obviously breaking SSL.
