K7S5A onboard sound problem
« on: May 25, 2002, 12:15:47 PM »
I installed renegade on winme. When I play the game, the sound goes out just in the introductory movies. If you skip it, there will be no sound in the gameplay.... Same thing happens when i play simcity3000.... I have installed the latest drivers naman...

with your rig specs, there's a bottleneck. You see, AC97-based sound solutions like the one on the K7S5A tend to sap more CPU cycles when you run sound-intensive programs like games... i've seen this phenomenon wherein a friend of mine plays CS on a PIII

damn, WinME! I remember that. But Win2k was already available then and it rocked.
