I have seen all three of those. All must-watch films.

Der Untergang, which I saw a year ago, is interesting in that it is considered the most historically accurate depiction of Hitler's last moments. Bruno Ganz is brilliant as Hitler.

Bruno Ganz also appeared in Luther: Another good film, which happens to be the last film of the actor, and genius, Peter Ustinov.

Amelie by Jean-Pierre Jeunet. , got an oscar for its superb cinematography. simply story, full of suprise in plot and its characters.

Forgot to recommend Crash. Great movie dealing with different cultures' racism.

Just saw Serenity, among the numerous space-age sci-fi films i've seen, this is certainly one of the best. Not your typical shallow sci-fi film with no concrete sensible plot.

A Scanner Darkly - Philip K. Dick's classic SF novel has been brought to screen by Richard Linklater, who uses the same animation technique he employed in "Walking Life." This could probably turn out to be the best adaptation of PKD's work. Check out the trailer at Yahoo movies.

Just saw City of God. Awesome film from brazil which have earned 48 awards and 21 nominations including 4 from oscars.

no wonder it is imdb's top 15 movie of all time.

i wonder why we can't make great films like other countries...

For WWII fans, you should see Der Untergang (Downfall).

It shows the last days of Hitler and his army.

Great great war drama. Rarely do we see something so accurate and unbiased from the german point of view.

I'm now waiting for V for Vendetta. A friend of mine, who's working in a small film community zine, promised to give me a ticket, if there's an extra, for an advance screening this coming Saturday.

It's one of my fave graphic novel, and Natalie Portman is in it as well. The only thing I didn't like is that the Wachowski brothers thinks they created V for Vendetta, when it's not, by adding this tagline:

"An uncompromising vision of the future from the creators of the Matrix trilogy"

If you can find it, try watching Toro: Live Show. One of the best films I've watched. Also, watch the works of Michiko Yamamoto; like Ang Pagdadalaga ni Maximo Olivares and Magnfico. There are lots of jewels in the local industry, you just have to dig in to find it.
