just checked the date i purchased my amaron battery.  it has been 4 years already and its still cranking.  since we are in a pandemic lockdown multiple times, the battery really does last longer right?   cause unused car batteries are more likely to deteriorate faster than ones that are charged regularly right?  my old motolites only last me 3 years and that is with regular use of the car

I have not owned an 8bitdo controller before although I've owned a cheap iPega wireless and Steelseries Stratus Duo.
Since it is relatively new I cannot comment on longevity either. For the price, it definitely feels premium and high end and not cheap and plasticky like iPega. It has a nice weight to it too. In terms of cross compatibility which is why I bought it in the first place, it's right up there. have tested steam link on Android, iPhone, Mi Box S, Samsung TV, and Macbook Air (Pre-M1), Windows 10 laptop. I could never get the Stratus Duo to work properly on my Samsung TV and Macbook Air.

The only issue I've had so far is getting it to work "wirelessly" on my Windows 11/Threadripper PC (no issues when wired). I reckon it may be an issue with the bluetooth drivers.

Onexplayer 1S

Went for intel 1195g7 variant as I preferred a working thunderbolt port an fingerprint reader. And while I hear game compatibility tends to be an issue... found that games I frequently play don't have any issues and are capable of either high FPS or high quality on the 8.4" screen

Would have been an easier choice had the 6800U variants been out

I know experienced professional builders can do it in half a day lol

Professional coz they actually do it for a living. Folks selling to people who don't have time to build and just want the completed figure. If the store isn't busy you can buy a kit before lunch, and have the completed toy by 4 or 5pm.

ZakuAurelius did a live build of the MG Wing KA in about 3 and a half hours IIRC. Caught it on his twitch stream.
