posible, you'll never know...mas maigi na obserbahan yung aso for a week kung mauulol or mamamatay...otherwise wala siyang raies

pero just to be safe e magpa-inject  narin ng anti-rabies vaccine....

Nakakatakot ang effect nyan sometimes it takes 10 years bago mo malaman na may rabbies pala. I learned it from a tv program.

Well, mas mabuti na sigurado di ba?

I saw one TV program... about the danger of rabies... kinagat sya ng aso then he was brought to hospital hanggang umabot sa utak na nya yung rabies... nagwawala na sya hanggang binasag nya yung window and climb up... buti nahuli sya then after nun humihingi sya ng tubig sa sobrang pagod.

rabies is 100% fatal.  walang cure.  pag nag-start na, there's no stopping it until death.  kaya if you go sa hospital, tanong ng doctors

- waht part of body kinagat?

- was the bite provoked or unprovoked?

- kanino yung aso?

the cause of rabies is a virus.

i think dalawa virus lang ang 100% fatal once you get infected - HIV and the rabies virus.  tama ba, docs?

I've been bitten twice by our German Shepherd (full vaccination history from birth) and both times I got anti-tetanus shots (just in case).

if you got bitten by a dog no matter what...  have your self injected with anti rabbies and anti-tetanus shots...   and if the dog dies with in 2 weeks you have to chop off the head and bring it to the hospital for them to examine it...

if you are near alabang pwede ka pumunta sa RITM(Research Institute for Tropical Medicine) to have your self injected...  babayaran mo lang is the medicine...

it is 100% fatal if you get infected.  if you develop AIDS (state of infection), tuloy-tuloy na yun.  iba yung exposed or HIV-positive ka pa lang.  si magic johnson, HIV-positive pa lang.  everyone who had AIDS, nauna na.

rabies is caused by a virus.  snake venom is chemical/poison.

Guys, hindi na uso ngayon ang obserbahan ang aso to know if you'll get rabies. Dati gunun yung practice, pero lately tumaas yung incidence ng rabies cases kaya once makagat ka, punta ka San Lazaro to get you anti-rabies shots. Medyo mahal siya and good for 4 or 5 persons ata yung vial, so magaantay ka pa ng mga kasabay para hati kayo sa bayad.

Of course, you should also get tetenus shots. If you had your booster shot, toxoid lang. Pag more than 10 years na wala kang toxoid booster, you have to receive toxoid AND anti-tetanus.

Pag snake bite kse, lalo na yung poisonous( you will know if there is two large holes sa bite wound) it would take only 1-2 minutes or worse seconds lang dedo ka na.
