I'd prefer if they published a sample computation or a guide so people can check for themselves.

Even with that explanation people will still find it hard to believe that their bills doubled or even tripled. Personal stories vary.
I've yet to receive my bill for the month but since I've never stopped paying my electricity bills, I do not expect too big a jump.
Honestly, ang worry ko dyan yung "system loss" which I think includes uncaught illegal connections. Working overtime ang appliances ng paying customers but so are the ones na nakiki-tap.

Yeah a guide would be nice. I'm more concerned with how they dealt with the overage from March-April. If it's all dumped onto the May bill then yes, there will inevitably be bill shock.

I don't think they need to, it's simple add and subtract... let's put in my case
my April 'calculated' reading is ~400KW, but when I computed it (just subtract the last meter reading, March bill, to the current), and I computed ~800 (aircon was 24/7), so I was only billed half, same with the May reading, so if ever that they do an actual reading in June, they'll add the 400 loss from April and 400loss from May, to the actual reading in June.

I'm already prepared, since I know that my June bill will be 4x (Jun would prolly be around 800 if the temperature is still high, plus 400 april, and 400may)

Meralco bill arrived.
I've been paying my monthly bills in full even during ECQ. My usual electricty bill of 2.7k has doubled.

Also regularly paying my Meralco bills (auto charge sa CC). Nung una pa lang kinabahan na ako kasi ang inaverage nila (Dec, Jan, Feb) yan yung pinaka mababa ang consumption ng kuryente.

So ang siningil nila eh almost half lang ng estimate ko for March (514) and April (539).  Already computed that my May actual bill will be around 1377kwh.  Matindi haha

Wow! Look at the computers in use by the USGS monitoring Mt. St. Helens! Total blast from the past, but this is from a very recent documentary about a glacier forming inside the crater of Mt. St. Helens that was released just last week.

Actually my bad, the channel was re-releasing documentaries from a while ago pala and this was from the mid-2000s. But it's still awesome to see CRTs in action.
