Got bitten by the PC building bug after building a Ryzen machine for my son. Now trying to resurrect my Core I3 PC from spare parts lying around and used stuff. Was checking up on TPC and found its now all (mostly) dominated by PC shops who are also on Lazada. :(

Ano magandang bluetooth speaker na mahahanap easily sa mall? 10k below? Anything that can compete with this? https://www.techradar.com/reviews/jbl-charge-4

Edit: i cant sleep. I am now thinking of DIYing for better sound, better bang for the buck, plus it's nicer with a physical remote.

Picture this: pc power supply, latest car car stereo with android app and bluetooth, diy bookshelf speaker.

Leyline of the Void was quite popular a few weeks ago... then Hogaak was banned lol.

Worldgorger Dragon's price spiked up recently because of the new commander Anje.

Got into a discussion about our homicide rate after reading about that Caloocan prosecutor who got saved by his bulletproof car. A group member was wondering if we were back to the bad old days of the '90s.

Turned out we've actually been worse for a while. Indexmundi has data on us up to 2014. Didn't know that there was a massive spike in homicides starting with PNoy administration. In hindsight toward the end of Arroyo term there were checkpoints everywhere, especially at night. I think I hardly saw a single one during PNoy's time.

Curious what the numbers look like now.

Curious what the numbers look like now.

"From a figure of 86,451, theft cases from January to June 2014, this went up to 105,229 for the same period this year. Meanwhile, car theft cases went up to 10,039 compared to last yearís 5,599 cases.

A total of 182,886 cases of physical injuries were recorded in the first half of this year, an increase from 2014ís 122,084 cases.

Meanwhile, rape cases went up to 8,288 in 2015 from 2014ís 5,069 cases.

The same happened with murder and homicide cases, which registered at 5,004 and 4,091 cases for 2014. This went up to to 7,245 and 6,607 this year.

In Metro Manila, however, the crime volume went down by 60 percent, which the PNP attributed to the success of Oplan Lambat Sibat, its statistics-driven anti crime campaign."

https://newsinfo.inquirer.net/709845/crimes-up-by-50-in-first-half-of-2015-pnp

However...

"The murder rate in Metro Manila soared by around 112 percent or 3,444 from July 2016 to June 2018, significantly higher than the 1,621 murder cases from July 2014 to June 2016, according to the PNP.Jul 19, 2018"
