16GB of super-fast 3600MHz G.Skill DDR4 for ~P6,600 landed here
https://www.newegg.com/global/ph-en/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820232731

Kinda torn between this one vs that ~9.8k for 32GB of DDR4-3000

Apparently a lot of riders think that upgrading to a big bike or a premium bike while keeping their bad riding habits throws off their camote-ness.

2 laptop HDDs died on me this weekend. 1 80GB Seagate and 1 250GB WD Blue. Both wouldn't power up anymore. Tried it on 2 known working USB enclosures.
Both were old but what are the chances of both dying on the same weekend?
Ang masama pa, the 250GB was in a laptop na pinapatignan sa kin. I just did the usual: update AV, update Windows, update the browsers. I left it running for an hour and when I got back, "Enter boot disk" na.

On my end some old SATA cable bonded right with the plastic receptacle on the HDD side. Tried to pull it out and ripped all the plastic off, leaving nothing but bare metal pins dangling!

Carefully bent the pins straight, gingerly plugged the SATA cable (and along with bits of the SATA receptacle it ate), and somehow the drive is still working! Luckily I have enough space on one of my newer drives to copy everything.

On the bright side, the drive in question was a 3TB Seagate DM001, so I guess this just gives me the impetus to do something I should have done long ago and get the data off of it, since this is one of the highest failure rate drives since those WD Greens with the head parking issue.

Having a really hard time shopping for a new PC case. Literally everything I've seen on the market has worse build quality than my 10+ years old Lian Li PC-V1000.

I've looked at the R6 and the S2. New stuff is of course better laid out, but they're nowhere near as well-built as the old Lian-Li. I can sit my whole body weight on it and it won't even creak.

i have the same problem with my worn Hawk backpack. been searching for a replacement for the past 2 years but currently the ones in the market are too large, too bulky, too gimmicky and inelegant.
