Vico Sotto getting alot of flak... for making other leaders look bad.
i heard over TV (i was out in the garden) a govt official saying that Vico could do what other LGUs have done: buses with pick up points. my concern over that is, if there are no tricycles, how could people reach the pick up points? does the government expect them to walk long distances?

if i were a health worker in a subdivision and the pickup point is at the highway, i would have to walk 2 km from home.

Here in Bulacan, people are walking 5km, up to 12km to reach shuttle pickup points. Some enterprising folks are now running habal-habal services. Now where is the MMDA/LTO?
i saw a pic circulating in FB. a handful of people crammed in a military truck was the official government solution, apparently. so much for social distancing.

2km doesn't sound bad at all. That's like 15-20 mins tops, and I regularly walk 3-5x that distance if I'm going around the Makati CBD area (park once, walk everywhere).

I know a 60-year old doctor who works at Makati Med who does the same thing. Ayala MRT to Makati Med. There was one time we met at Jupiter street near EDSA and he just hoofed it all the way there and back. Also once did Ortigas CBD to Tiendesitas. Walking is good for you!

Took the time to do my first clean-up of my now one-year old primary PC. Cooler Master's dust filters are great. Only the very fine stuff makes it inside which cleans off nicely with just a few blasts of compressed air while vacuuming.

Places away from airflow were completely dust free.

yes, 2KM doesn't sound bad, i agree fully. but consider that the health care workers are now likely fatigued. they could benefit from more rest instead of more walk.

i am not really familiar with Makati but i once walked from Glorietta to Makati Med. there were walkways and shaded areas, which made walking more pleasant. not every area has that luxury, though.

Walking isn't a pain when you've got company and the terrain is flat anyway.

I doubt IMG Burn is correct in that saying its a BD-XL writer... (The newer WH16NS60 I know is a BD-XL writer). it's a  BD-DL writer though, so I just need to find some BD-DL discs, since I only have BD-R Plexdiscs here atm.  these discs are 6x spec, but the LG writes max upto 8x on it.  It's been hiatus for more than two years actually, just shucked it in a spare CDR-KING drive enclosure just two days ago.

3DMark 2001! Planetsavage days hehe

https://www.techpowerup.com/download/futuremark-3dmark-2001/

IMO the best 3DMark ever, coincidentally the only one to use an actual game engine (MAX-FX for Game 3 "Lobby"), also used in the game Max Payne.

Spec sheet says BDXL. You sure it isn't?

Nope, not sure since I have no BD-XL disc to write on atm.  But that's nice to know.  Not the same faceplate in that spec sheet though.

More throwback. I remember ogling over a boxed sample of this card at Akihabara back in 2003. The box was huge.

I envy you guys who can still play these FPS games without throwing up or even just lying down every few minutes.

Also, it seems the Sharp TV we just recently bought automatically detects and shifts the input to the PS4 when its connected. The TV remote also works on the PS4. Downside is the PS4 has to be disconnected from the power supply, otherwise it annoyingly automatically turns on with the TV.
