site is straining from the load now. as always, take with a pinch of salt (Semiaccurate has been um, semi-accurate with its news though, and is not just rumor-mongering).

lol who the hell cites Charlie as a credible source? This is the same guy who predicted Nvidia would be out of business by now.

Media reports published today that Intel is ending work on the 10nm process are untrue. We are making good progress on 10nm. Yields are improving consistent with the timeline we shared during our last earnings report.

Charlie has always had a pro-AMD, anti-Intel/anti-Nvidia slant. I try to steer clear of clickbait tech sites/youtubers that fuel fanboy wars in the forums and comment sections.

^FB marketplace or tipidPC
ah. please post here how it goes. thanks!
i just bought a Palit Super Jetstream GTX 1060 6GB in FB marketplace for 8500. never used for mining, and 2018 purchased (but no more receipt, no biggie for me). works perfectly!
that's a great find for that price!

hey guys, could you recommend a fantasy novel that spans only a single book? for my friend who's going through tough times now (mom's battling cancer). she enjoyed Dungeons and Dragons novels before (she borrowed my collection when we were in college) so maybe something along that line would be suitable. no morbid scenes, please (which is the reason why i rejected my initial thought of sending her The Ocean at the End of the Lane by Neil Gaiman).

thanks!

Looks like Shopee hasn't acquired their logistics mojo yet. Igave them a try. I ordered a  couple of small items from them almost at the same time with a similar item fro Lazada. The Lazada item was originating in China while Shopee"s a local seller. For 5 days now the items  I ordered have bouncing from 3 sorting centers. It was first sent to Pasay. Then to Laguna and now it"s in Pasig. Hopefully it arrives in my location in Cainta by Monday. I checked my Lazada order and it"s now at at the Taytay hub. Usually I shoul get it within today on past orders.

True. Oftentimes they also text that they're delivering the item within the day but they end up not showing. Then there are times they just show up unannounced.

I use shopee when I want cheaper items but don't mind the late delivery.

Seems like short power interruptions are becoming more frequent.
Might be time to get a UPS again, or see if old stuff can be made to work by changing their batteries.

They are usually modified sine wave types. For electronic devices they should be ok. But for electromechanical ones, better to get a pure sine wave inverter.

A lot of my stuff runs off 12V. So I made a 12V DC UPS just for them. The fiber modem with parts bought from Laz. WiFi router and NAS all draw their power from the 12V UPS. I added a small USB gadget that automatically tells the QNAP NAS that AC power is off and the NAS automatically shuts off after 5 minutes of no power.
