Old Timer Middle-Aged Thread
« on: December 16, 2019, 11:19:58 AM »
I joined PPC in 2002.  I recall there was some sort of site upgrade so my oldest messages are from 2004.

That was 17 years ago. Pretty impressive longevity for a PC hardware web site in the Philippines!

So who else is still around from those days?

"Cooper Shims & Round IDE cable anyone?"

di ako nag atim na kumuha ng copper shim, pero dati gumagamit ako ng dalawang 24 inch ata na shielded round IDE cables.

I think it's safe to say that most of us into PC hardware and overclocking did it for gaming. Interestingly I stopped OC'ing things in 2008 and never went back.  My Slot-1 Celeron 300A @ 450MHz in 1999 or 2000 was glorious though.

Maybe I should be worried that i *still* play PC games today..

I remember posting here while only the first tower (9-11) was burning. Then a few minutes later the second plane crashed on the other tower. That is how old this site is. hehehe
