Technically motherboard does next to nothing now.
Everything is on the CPU package, even the VRMs which is what gets the OC.

^I tend to agree, but the different OC clocks with different boards speaks for themselves.

And I'm personally using Asrock with my setup and can vouch that they have come along way from their old OCability. (This is my 4th Asrock mobo).

my asrock 870 pushes my previous 6300 to 5g also

^ I take those differing OCs to mean just variances among the different ES chips floating about. The guy posting (Validator) is just taking his screens from elsewhere.

Either way Haswell looks very promising.

Official reviews are in. Most retail samples don't seem to OC anywhere near as high as the ESs being handed out earlier on.

This came to mind but after making a list of parts (everything from scratch) it made me think more than twice
4670K is more than 10K petot

Thanks, already computed for FX, too, won't have the cash for discrete card anytime soon
Now revisiting my Ivy parts list, great to have this many options around in the local market now

I remember a while back with my forst and only Intel build costing almost as much as the Haswell
but with most parts either sourced in the old selling thread here
or from the only store which had them available
