I used those L&C 300W bundled with most ATX casing. I didn't encounter any problems..

Enermax 350 Whisper.  Not whispering at all, I'm about to remove/replace the fans to make it really whisper.

About how many hard disks/DVD-ROM/CDRW drives can an Enermax 350w power?

Can it (a 350w PS) provide reliable power to say, 1 P4 CPU, 1 3D video card, 3 hard EIDE hard drives, 1 DVD-ROM drive and 1 CDRW drive?

alfie, the HEC 300W will power all your components quite well. Even if you OC the hell out of that P4.  Take it easy on the extra fans, though. How many do you intend to put in?  There's a post of modded cases before and one PSU was generic 300W that came with the case and has 9 extra case fans.

alfie, it all boils down to how you trust the seller.

Would you entrust 7.5K to him?  7.5K is a really low price for a 1.8A Retail version but if it's out of the box it could be from an OEM tray and the seller slapped on a  stock HSF and cost lower than that.
