Need airconditioning advise!
« Reply #40 on: January 08, 2013, 11:54:36 PM »
Thanks for the advice, ill look into that Matsushita compressors.. for the Inverter I think samsung has models with inverters, are their AC's good ?

my friend had to replace his samsung aircon compressor 2x. 1st with panasonic di rin tumagal, now its replaced with mitsubishi... hopefully tumagal.

Samsung's warranty is 10 years for their digital (inverter) compressors... so how'd he had it replaced with a different brand if it was still under warranty?
Samsung's 10 year warranty for compressors is with Refs AFAIK.

^ was it split type?
Quality of the installation is crucial. If you're not getting good flow through the lines going to the external unit it can mean trouble for the compressor.

i also had my old one replaced just last week with a mistubishi. Trane yung luma namin. Bumigay na after 14 years. Hassle na paayos kaya napilitan palitan. Hopefully tumagal ito.

Compressor lang naman ang pinalitan.  Aircons use OEM compressors and Panasonic(Matsushita) is a trusted OEM of quality compressors.

My bad... but Samsung digital compressors either have a 5 or 10-year warranty. so if the refs have 10 years, then the ACs must be the ones with 5-year warranty.

Samsung Inverter series ACs use their own (Samsung brand) DC rotary compressors.

I go for Daikin.
Got it last year for 31k including installation.
1 HP at home. Working 8 hours every night.
Had it cleaned the weekend just before ECQ (yup, almost a whole year bago napalinis). Still works fine.
Will be getting one again soon. My only concern is the health of the installers...

what! only 8 hours? lol

our Condura almost runs 20hours everyday since ECQ - I should charge our company for this.
Almost 10yrs narin ito. I just cleaned it last week using those high pressure water nozzle

Lately eyeing those LG EC series after watching a few reviews in YT
Hitachi also looks good & GREE too, 12yrs na yung sa friend ko

Well, recently mga 12 hours. We try not to get too used to airconditioning.

My Panasonic has been on almost 24/7 ever since ECQ started.
It's actually cheaper to leave it on than to turn off at noon and have to re-cool a heated room.

Sa naghahanap ng medyo murang aircon (or at least yung may free installation for the 1st 10 feet of copper, wiring, and PVC drain). Had a good experience lang, hindi ako connected sa kanila in any way. May mga LG at Samsung din sila AFAIK.

Perhaps they do since they are a big manufacturer in China. We got the VFV system (just because we wanted to test the brand) which is a multi output system that has shared compressor units. So far (since its new) its working fine but damn the service, speed of communication, installation, and coordination were extremely bad. So for our next office we decided to get daikin instead. Slightly more expensive but at least service is better and well, its the number 1 AC in the world.
