Luckily ive never had an experience where my actual PC components were fried, it was more of because the cheap PSUs kept on dying on me.

i burned through a number of oven toaster looking psu's + 2 HEC psu's and my gigabyte psu 12v now is down to 7.55v..

luckily i havent fried any components yet from the previous psu's.

getting a nice psu is better than frying the entire pc which costs more.

The FSP Epsilon series are also good. Using Epsilon 600 (more than 2 years na , 3 mobos na dumaan dito, now powering P55/i5/5770/4gig 1600 DDR3) and blue storm 2 (350W lang yata for my other rig).
Di rin gaano kataasan presyo ng FSP compared to other "known" brands.

lol it's just me or it's just my preference to have a peace of mind.  those psus were already been tested on my brother's and myself so as long as they still selling it yan talaga bibilhin ko,  there are so many psu brands out there trying to compete for quality and reliability so it's up to the user's preference talaga.  ayoko lang talaga mag lipat ng ibang brand basta may nakasanayan ka nang isa o dalawang brand hehe.
