Windows XP File Sharing
« on: August 28, 2009, 09:04:06 pm »

Thank you.

Salamat po. :)

Isama ko na din po sa tanong. Bakit po hindi ko na vview mga smileys dito sa forums and other selected forum sites? Pero sa iba ok naman. Nag uninstall na po ko ng browser then install, then palit browser ganun pa din.

Opo cjgambit.

if the destination file is more that 255 character hindi sya makopya,
example :

server data/public files/heishiro darn files/educational files/jules files/files for life/kickass pornz/asia gallore/...................../bangbusJULES.avi

pag masyado mahaba yung address ng source file (more than 255 character) hindi makopya yung file.

this past days i use "ntbackup" -on your run command-

kahit read only na file makokopya nya ^__^

mas mabilis sya magkopya, napaka simle pa. just share the file on the network
then "map  network drive" tapos use ntbackup. taddaaaa!!!!!!

. nasa properties din yan makikita i set mo yung Link Speed to 10 Mbps duplex or 100 Mbps para magimprove ng konti yung transfer mo . .i learned that when i was working in lan shops ... improved file transfer ^_^

sharing my two cents . .

@Saint Heishiro
*Nakakahilo tol pag use ng ntbackup. Pwede pa share ng step by step easy process. Medyo advance na kase tapos pag nasa advance na pag use ng WinXP or any os. Ang simple words description eh nagiging complicated na. Hirap na intindihan ng english. lol

Pati My Documents sinasabay niya kahit pinili ko naman I'll specify the location. T_T

1. start in wizard mode
2. backup files and settings
3. let me choose what to backup
4. choose destination path
5. make a file name for the backup

after next may lalabas na FINISH ( dont click it)
click advance..

6. type of backup : use COPY
- then next next nalang

teracopy

Medyo buggy ang Teracopy sa windows7 x64.  Progress bar always says 100%.

may iba pa bang substitute for Teracopy?  O okey na ba ang built in copy handler ng Windows7 kumpara sa XP so no need na for a 3rd party copy handler?

hmn...  I got version 2.12.  Are you using Win7 64-bit?  I just remembered that I didn't bother to uninstall the older version.  I'll give it another try.

If it still doesn't work I'll try Supercopier.

I've used Teracopy to transfer files from one PC to a new one running Win7/64(fresh install)... didn't experience any problems at all transferring 300+ GB.
