thanks for the suggestions, tamron 17-50 is around $300-350 here im not sure about the 17-40
1st thing to consider is the anti-shake feature, i honestly need it.. the 17-85 is the at the same price
range as tamron 17-50, therefore i need to choose between IQ or IS+range...
can i have all those features in just $300 range? kekeke!

I LOL'd.

Baka naman slower than 1/30 yung shutter speed at 50mm...

gusto ko kahit 17-85 IS USM. meeeeyaaaaw...... meeeeyaaawww....

Pero kahit cheap look ang tammy 17-50, the IQ you get is waaaaaaaay better than the kit lens.
I should put something smart or silly here.

ang source of light specially shooting outside, park, garden etc no need for IS/OS

Got my tammy, I dunno why malas ata ako sa tamron, I first copy I got , after 30mins of testing it , the thing just "died" lol, the aperture ring locked so the viewfinder was dark. Luckily, the seller had another copy so I replaced it.

So far its pretty much what the reviews say, "ok" at F2.8, "very good" at F4.0.

heheh mga japeks shots ito eh, anyway my initial impression are pretty much what the reviews say, very good IQ, specially +F4 onwards. I would think this would be a very good indoor lens for wedding receptions etc.

Feels/looks/ tiny / cheap / but thats probably because of the other red rings i use.

Just make sure you get a good copy lol.

Practice pa with the viewfinder rather than the beep hehe.

what's a good lense to use for the singapore f1 night race? Was planning on renting a telezoom lense or will a 55-250mm f3.5-5.6 suffice?
