Just started on "La Casa de Papel" aka Money Heist.
a friend told me that it was good
Yup , it's good.[emoji106]

Interesting story, interesting characters, plenty of sexy scenes but no gratuitous nudity, has violence but no gore.

There's an English dub but I prefer watching the original Spanish. Need to speed read the subtitles though 'cause they often speak so damn fast.

Verdict after finishing season 2: it's the mother of all heist stories. [emoji106]

Started Season 2 last Thursday.

I hope this wont be like another Prison Break where they keep on milking the series. One good heist is more than enough.

Finished La Casa de Papel.

Medyo bitin at rushed yung last episode. It's good story telling.
I wanted more reveal at the end, bigla na lang natapos ang pakiramdam ko.

next recommendation?

For a good procedural crime-drama/comedy, with very good story telling...  The Good Cop. c/o Netflix. (From the creators of Monk) and  For suspense/spy/action-thriller...Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan series. c/o Amazon Prime.

^Enjoyed watching it and looking forward to the next season. It isn't based directly off of any of the books, but mixes and matches and re-uses the Ryanverse characters.

- not really expecting any major changes to the narratives this season but I still find it entertaining.

Titans

About to finish The Wire.

yep. the 2002-2008 crime drama. I haven't seen this ever.

frakkin' hell, this is one good show. No wonder it has been hailed as "the best show ever".

even though phone tapping on old clunky cellphones is the premise of the whole series, the story still holds by today's society.

it is really grounded, gritty, police and political drama with criminal element. it is refreshing to watch compared with the slickness of say Suits or White Collar.

sana maganda adaptation nya
https://variety.com/2018/tv/news/cowboy-bebop-live-action-series-netflix-1203038458/

Like so many Manga/Anime live-action adaptations, it's probably going to be bad...even with creator Shinichiro Watanabe overseeing the project. They should just do another Firefly or something.

On the flip-side, Blade Runner is going to have an anime spin-off series with some pretty respectable names behind it, including Watanabe. Something I'm actually excited about.
