hindi maka-konek yung dsl modem ko. sabi ng pldt support, nag-uupgrade sila ngayon ng NGN sa area namin.
happened to me 4 months ago. already bought modem from cdrking. up to now wala pa rin yung replacement modem from pldt na compatible sa new system nila
I was also led to believe that PLDT has a "new" system that needs their new modem.
for several weeks, I had been getting disconnected regularly (8am, 12pm, 8pm, 12 am... on the dot).
reports to tech support was a futile attempt at getting the thing fixed or at least getting a straight answer as to what the problem was.
all they did was do "remote tests" and diagnose... a PLDT tech, who tested my line, found nothing wrong (as usual) on my end either.
he suggested that I be migrated to IP-DSLAM from legacy (even though there was nothing wrong with my present setup - except for the regular disconnection). but in doing so, he told me that he has to replace my Nokia modem with the new Zyxel modem... since the Nokia, apparently, wasn't "compatible" with the "new system". I told him to wait until the migration was done before changing the modem.
when the "supposed" migration was done (after 2 weeks)... the Nokia modem would sync but I couldn't surf. for the next several days, I'd call up tech support to report the problem... and again this resulted to nothing.
after 5 days, I stormed the business office and insisted on making an appointment with their supervisor. the business center agents stone-walled my attempt at doing so...
I went out and entered the building through the employees entrance, I told the guard that I had an appointment with supervisor and I was allowed in.
As luck would have it, the technical supervisor for my area was leaving the business supervisor's office as I told the secretary that I would like to talk to the supervisor to file a complaint regarding the inaction of the technical department.
He approached me and I told him about my problem. He got my account details and problem history... he then told me that he'd personally attend to it. that evening, my connection was restored... with my trusty old Nokia modem still going strong.
