I saw Shazam this afternoon. I give it a 6/10. I liked Aquaman much better.

It seems that DC's curse of making better trailers than the movie itself is back.

Nearly all the good parts of the movie was already shown in the trailer, which is reminiscent of what happened in Iron Man II.

I dislike its final showdown especially, which was long and dragging and was poorly executed.

There's also very little effort to endear the audience to the characters, so the emotional moments seemed hollow.

Still, I didn't crack a yawn the entire movie, which means it was good enough to catch my full attention.

On a side note, Shazam's around 2 hours while Endgame is 3 hours, and by the time Shazam finished my bladder was near bursting, so i figure i have to dehydrate myself before watching Endgame to lessen urine production. Good luck to me.

Watched a p-version of Captain Marvel. Loved the 90s tunes, though some seem to be anachronistic.

I liked infinity war a tiny bit better than endgame but I am a sucker for nonstop action so...
endgame was basically marvel studios taking a victory lap, with all the callbacks and fan service, and that finale was bonkers and insane, watched it opening day and I'm still thinking about that movie.... I am in no rush for phase 4...

actually, after spider-man far from home, I wouldn't be opposed if marvel took a year off... I think that would make the start of phase 4 more special...

I found the ending quite satisfying.

I've read about phase 4 and I'm curious how they'd be able to equal or top the last decade of marvel.

can't find a torrent for the motogp docu "hitting the apex". Who's the GOAT now? At any rate, they are all modern day gladiators, with stoner being my fave of all time.

Funny get-around to having it not banned at youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KIMLJMQ28do
Will never, ever buy a SONY ever again.

di ka nagiisa. Mas gusto ko pa yung previous movie. Parang kulang sa action more on drama. Yung pag time travel parang naging corny.
Rick "rolled" Astley would never :
- Give you up
- Let you down
- Run around and desert you
- Make you cry
- Say goodbye
- Tell a lie and hurt you

Gonna be a weird re-ordering of things if the next big bad is Galactus.
I guess it kinda fits though considering MCU Thanos is severely depowered compared to comic book Thanos.

di ka nagiisa. Mas gusto ko pa yung previous movie. Parang kulang sa action more on drama. Yung pag time travel parang naging corny.
Here are my three problems with Endgame:

1. Time travel was practically without consequence and was not fully utilized. One of the best things about time travel stories is the consequence of doing such a thing. They could accidentally do something in the past that might have unintended effects on the present.

They could have, for example, made it so that time travel to the past could accidentally erase Tony's child from existence. That would have made Tony more reluctant to go with the plan and add to the tension.

Thor's reunion with his mother was not handled properly, I think. There was little emotion behind it. It certainly didn't surpass or match Barry Allen's tear-jerking reunion with his mother. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XoV73VZksgQ

2. They could have presented the "benefits" of the Snap some more. The only mention of it that I could recall was that Steve telling Natasha that he saw whales again in the harbor. Maybe they could have gone more visual on it, like show on TV that pollution was lessened or that there are less starving people. That would have made the Avengers think twice about their plan. Do they really want to upset the new order of things just because they could not move on? Aren't they just as bad as Thanos for trying to play god?

3. The final battle was so frustratingly lacking. When the hordes of Thanos clashed with the newly returned heroes, they could have shown more focused battles and rematches, instead of just a  general chaotic rumble. The children of Thanos vs specific heroes while the Wakandans, Sorcerers and others battle the Chitauri and other aliens. Again, there's little drama here, so little excitement. The Battle of Helm's Deep and Battle for Minas Tirith in LotR were much, much more satisfying. Even the Battle of the Bastards in Game of Thrones I feel was better.

In summary, Endgame could have been a better movie had those 3 hours been utilized more by introducing more tension, more hard decisions and more spectacular fights.
