RAM is ok, but not as low as US.

Gulo ng PC prices! IMO to get the best deal:

Motherboards/Processors - buy local
RAM - order from Newegg
HDD - order from Newegg (get shuckable external drive)
SSD - buy local
GPU - buy local

16GB DDR4 @pcx=6.3k, @newegg=8.4k (+shipping)

^ I mean RAM you actually want, like DDR4 3000 and up:

Local price = ~8300 (PCX) for 2x8GB Trident Z DDR4 3000 / ~8400 for 2x8GB Predator RGB DDR4 3200
Newegg = ~9124 for Ripjaws V 2x16GB DDR4 3000

Shipping is ~740 so it'll come in just under 10k and won't have to pay tax (total price 9,864 including shipping).
Pay ~18% more for 100% more RAM.

oh... well, I was looking for DDR4-2400 sodimms (and just recently bought a stick and was happy to get it on local stores cheaper without waiting for shipping), and just assumed that it was the same for desktop

I'm actually tempted to buy another one for my netbook. The wife is really happy with how snappy her i5 laptop is now.

I've been buying some smart switches and sockets and slowly replacing some of the switches/lights at home to make them "smart"

Having alexa and/or google home turn the lights and electric fans on/off is great for lazy people like me hahaha.

@boss whelee

just need to connect the broadlink app to google home or alexa (you need to install  these apps, no need to have a google home hub/mini or amazon echo) then set it up as devices (and assign a room) within google/alexa.

I'm taking a look at more complex automations using IFTTT and maybe the Home Assistant server but need to get more smart devices pa.

BTW after so many years here in china, worker parin at hindi Boss, itong shirt ko lang ang Boss  :lol:

Another 8TB Seagate expansion drive (for shucking)

Also the G.Skill DDR4-3600 RAM is here. Still no rig though lol. Mobo arrived at store but when I went to pick it up the CPUs were out of stock.

Recently started with 2 smart bulb sockets. For now, I just use it for turning on lights on a timer. I also can't access the devices unless I'm connected to the home wifi. I guess my Converge fiber connection is NATed.
