Somehow this RAM turned out to be super good! It's 3600MHz CL19, but I stumbled onto a Ryzen memory OC guide and it seems to use SK Hynix CJR chips that 1usmus managed to OC to 3933CL16.

I'm running them at 3600 16-19-19-36 now following the timings in the Ryzen DRAM calculator and TestMem5 shows no errors.  :silly:
Not bad for some el-cheapo RAM.

Placed an order for an Anet E10 3D printer at Lazada for Php13,237 COD. The price for the same item went up to Php16,400 a few hours later.

When I inquired from the seller when they will ship the item, the seller responded that the item is current out of stock. My order was soon cancelled. He then messaged me that the item item is now available albeit at the new higher price. See you later.

Anyway. I did welcome the cancellation. I changed my mind on the Anet E10. Instead, I am leaning on the pricier TronXY X5SA. I just placed a COD order for it. The transaction is a bit strange. I had a choice of shipping between Php100 standard vs Php447. Php100 shipping actually arrives faster. The seller also carries several models. They also carry the TronXY X5S model for a higher price. The main difference I can see is that the X5SA has a better controller but at a lower price???

TronXY X5SA - https://www.lazada.com.ph/-i246650712-s336862155.html

Here is the hot item among the 3D printers.

^^^I am new to 3D printing specifically. ATM, I don't own one and the one on order from Lazada will be the first. However, I've got lots of experience working with these type of machines. My username is derived from having to do with motion control.

Here is my take on these machines. They are getting much easier to buy. Prices for these machines are dropping with quality slowly improving at the lower end of the price range. Many more people will be able to buy these machines and therefore as a business it's becoming competitive. The weight of the printed item, a measure of the amount of filament used, is a good metric for pricing.

The 3 stage water filter kit I bought from Lazada has just arrived. Instead of hooking it to the faucet, I attached a 12DC powered water pump I bought from eBay over 3 years ago. The pump had remained unused until yesterday. The pump draws water from a 125 liter bucket bought in the early days of this water shortage and it then pumps into the filter. It takes about a minute to fill a 1.5liter Coke bottle. Good enough for my need.

A lot of 3D printer stuff. My new Tronxy X5SA hasn't yet printed a single thing yet but already ordered several items from Laz and Aliexpress.

1. 1Kg of white PLA filament. Of course, I need to have filament to print.
2. MOSFET module to handle the extra high current load of the heated bed.
3. 12AWG wire to handle 15Amps of the heat bed.
4. An extra 12V 40A power supply to raise the supply voltage to 24V. Like PC power supplies, these PSUs may have issues with what the true power rating is. The 12V 40A definitely feels lighter than the 12V 30A of the Tronxy 3D printer.
5. Some timing pulleys, belts and other parts to upgrade the Tronxy.
