lol I had it in my cart yesterday, then office internet fucked up just as I was gonna checkout

That said, exchange rate should get even better (OFWs + Christmas) so Newegg will deals will only get sweeter, right up until Trump's tariffs roll in.

The question is, do they perform? Do they feel good? This is putting aside "moralistic" issues. If the replicas are 80% as good as the genuine article, that would be funny.

I personally use and follow the power tool market and fakes are just trash. Too much vibration on grinders, drills goes kaput too easily when given a challenge, unsafe and overrated batteries on cordless tools.

Makita, Hitachi or Bosch is the way to go. Goes beyond price of ownership, you can really feel the refinement in, say, Sanders.

Point is, you really get what you pay for... Sneakers however are way over priced for what they are methinks.

OT: ilocano special bibingka from an ilocos bazaar in a mall.

there are instances where replicas do actually perform better than the fakes.  its usually depends on what the product is.  i have bought replicas and fakes on the same product and there are times when the fakes would outlast the originals.  it depends also if you could live with the lower quality the fakes.  there are trade offs at times but if you could live with it i think they are worth it.
To steal ideas from one person is plagiarism
To steal from many is research

I was also tempted to get one of those tools in FB from Makita & Dewalt which where copies from Taiwan the seller says, Taiwan really?

also check out one of our Products VS another oh BTW these tools are made by the same company but we are different BU's (Ryobi/ AEG/ Rigid/ Milwaukee)

EVGA Z10 has arrived!

Massdrop has the SMSL SU-8 for $200 ending in two days, vs retail at $250 or P15k from a local seller on PDVD.

Anyone with experience ordering DACs or other electronics from them? Shipping fees? Duties?

Massdrop?

Expect that it's going to take a long-ass time to get your stuff because not only do you have to wait a while for the drop to ship, MD usually opts for the cheapest DHL shipping option which makes a round trip to the Germany hub before it gets sent to the PHL. To make matters worse, DHL will hand over the package to Philpost and that's going to add even more time since you will have to wait for customs clearing and the postal claim card to arrive at your mail. You can skip the last step by checking if your carrier tracking number status says that the package has already been forwarded to the local PO and following up with the PO if the item is already with them.

As long as the value of the item is less than PHP 10,000, then you only have to pay the postal handling fee of 112 pesos upon claiming your package at your local post office.

For me, I don't even bother with Massdrop anymore. The last couple of drops I joined took about 6-8 months total before I got my hands on the stuff I bought. Things might have changed since then though.
