try mo 2-2-2-9

You won't be able to boot with those timings. 2-3-3-6-8 is the lowest timing for P4 systems and Geil DDR500.

aiJay: actualy its between 9-11, depending on the board. i found my best memory bandwidth at 10.

boybastos: no boot pre, ayoko nadin pilitin. mahirap magclear ng cmos sa SFF, sikip! lolz!

lolz! ewan ko kung bakit pero ganyan talaga yun nForce 2 systems...i can actually run mine at CAS 2 3-3-6 pero mas masama Sandra scores ko kesa sa CAS 2 3-3-10 so I stuck with 10...

it's called "correct" timing, if you set it to 5, you're violating intel's ram timing formula. actually, 2-3-3-6 is an anomaly and it should be 2-3-3-7 for best performance and stability....

servo, don't take my word for it, but for nForce series, tRAS generally is to be set to 2x(CL + tRCD + 2) ;)...

for intel chipsetts, tRAS is generally set to CL + tRCD + 2 ;)...

2x(CL + tRCD + 2)

hmmmm, with my extremely limited math skills that would be...

Y = 2 x (2 + 2 +2)

Y = 2 x (6)

Y = 12

pde na ba akong maging math professor? 10 isnt too far off from 12, matry nga minsan...

cff_boy, i am able to use an nForce 3 board only a few times, not enough chance for me to really test this, but the general approach should be the same unless nVidia really made some serious revamping of their chipset. if i got the time, i'll try to look for their white paper on the system memory controller.

servo, ang galing hehehe.  it can be higher than 12, but as much as possible, it shouldn't be less than your "Y" value for full compatibility between your system memory controller and your actual ram.
