anyone (members here in the forum) who will admit that they're hackers?

according to some "real" hackers, particularly those belonging to the "cult of the dead cow,"  no hacker will claim that they are indeed hackers.  the thing is, you let your "exploits be known and praised by the hackers before you.  simply put, you wait until the hackers acknowledge your identity and admit you into the inner circle.

there are two kinds of hackers:  the white-hat and the black hat hackers.  most entities who brake into other systems with malicious intents belong to the black hat legion.  still quite a number of them black hats, particularly those self-confesed, are just crackers and script kiddies.  they do not write their own exploits.  they just rely on others for the tools necessary to break in into another system.

there is a prevailing "hacker's code of ethics," which (if i'm not mistaken) was written by the "mentor."  a quick google should help you if you wanted to find out what the code contains.

imho, the malicious and destructive activities of the crackers and script kiddies do are what puts the "real hackers" in a bad light.

tools?

well first mga debug programs like in dos.

GNU C+/C++ compiler & a x86 assembly compiler.

depends kung ano gagawin ko. kung alam ko yung exploit, compile ko yung code.

how far? it seems that it is impossible pero they can destroy your PC if they want to, pero bihira pa yata ito mangyari or wala pa pero its possible, hacking is just like invading ones private home and expose/exploit all their private infos such as accounts and stuffs,he can even reformat your hard drive. there are different hackers if you are called hacker it is not mean that you are the bad one, dahil ginagamit nila ang nalalaman nila to counter yung mga gawain ng mga crackers. hacker and cracker are different hacker = teh rock, cracker = teh lamer =P
