FEDERAL: nope, router stores your password and username automatically. so khit ilan computer you connect w/ it ok lang. lumalabas na yun router mo is the 1 conected lang. the computers/network attached to it will just get the datas from it.

What i do smetimes is i right click my LAN conection icon and select repair. It will get a new IP address sa PLDT thru my router and sometimes it connects again. The PLDT doesn't know if you're using a router or not, it was just my assumption that PLDT is changing its IP address once in a while so that if you complain, they will ask how many computers you're using. They told me kse to just use 1 and disconnect my router... Yesterday Feb 29, sunday the whole day intermitent ang connection... i'm really getting pissed by their services. i hope some1 will offer a better deal than them so hat there will be a strong competiotion for the services and prices in w/c we, the consumer, would really benefit./ Prob is all Providers are coniving with each other... sh--!

i totally agree with you fasthand.... the prob is they discon my router when no traffic is occuring like when i leave my router on yet i sleep like 1am-8am.... sa log file, every hour, nagdidiscon! pero the whole day of downloading, d naman... like every 12-15 hours....

i emailed them nga and here's a copy... am getting pissed... hehe

1. Do you reset your web servers every x hours?

If yes, then you are not an "always on" connection. I have just noticed

that my connection gets dropped on the range of every 8-12 hours. I want

to keep my sole pc on all the time to download stuff from the net. Yet

when you disconnect people, it becomes so annoying. Plus the fact that you

guys, on my own observation, get server or datanet downtimes every two

weeks on the average. Can you believe this?

Now I am thinking twice why i upgraded to mydsl professional when i should

have switched to zpdee or skydsl.

I'll be waiting for your reply.

Just curious. In the Management Control Menu under the Admin Tab of your SMC router - Is there a value specified in "Inactivity Timeout"?

there's just disconnect timeout which i have set to 0.

They only check their mail every Thursday... thus, you'll get your answer on Thursday afternoon or early morning Friday.

I suggest that you go over your configuration again... you must have missed something... My uptime is 5 days, 3 hours, 35 minutes and 45 seconds with the same IP... My PC hasn't been disconnected since the glitch last Wednesday.

The glitch was actually caused by a Siemens tech. The hardware was scheduled for "routine maintenance" by the vendor (Seimens). The reason they "leaked out" for the foul up was "an unscheduled upgrade". The real reason... an IT changed some settings in the servers on the pretext of "optimizing" the system... the result: the servers crashed and rebooted every 12 hours... all Personal DSL customers and quite a few Prof DSL costumers were affected. Commercial/Business DSL Plan costumers were not affected by the foul-up.

if ever PLDT is or has plans of repairing their connections why donn't they advise us first so we'll know what to expect. This is what i feared b4 when i subscribed to them. Others told me that eversince thier introduction of their DSL service, users are pissed by their intermitent timeouts and glitches... The bad thing is we can't complain to any1 regarding this kind of services... Only in the Phils... :-((

I had a whole day outage of MyDSL Pro here in Cainta starting at 5:00am, March 05 until 1:00am, March 6 with a one hour connection at 6:00 pm March 5.

A call to 173 yielded the information that there was no outage anywhere and they would have to send someone over to check on my modem and phonelines.

Has anyone experienced this yesterday?

I'm from Cainta also (St Francis Village)

I only got an outage at about 6PM up to about 7:30PM. I just turned off the modem for about 30 mins and when I tried it again, I already got a connection..

hehe ako last night mga 8pm.... malabon area. 7 minutes ayaw kumonnect.

kakainis pldt. nakita ko sa log nung router, 12am-7am.... may isang discon, siguro dinidiscon nila pag idle ang connection. kahit naka-on ang stay-alive

oops nakalimutan ko may time machine pala ako@jojitb:) St, Francis din ako.

March 4 and 5 pala dapat yung nasa post ko. Nawala uli ng 4:00 am.

Anyway dumating din mga taga PLDT ng 9:00am pero may connection na uli so they checked my modem saka yung linya ko, maayos naman daw.

Masaya na sana ako at 4 days na ako walang problema sa MyDSL.

ang cable internet d na kailangan ng login/passw dba? tama ba? autoconnect na lang yon? kaya lang pagnagalaw mo yung coax cable hooked up to the modem super sensitive hehe

how much was the package u availed? ok ba? is it fast picus?

yung bayantel dsl di kailangan mag log in dahil static ip. its always on, pag open mo pc mo connected ka na kaagad. ok naman bayantel if you dont play ragnarok
