thanks for the replies guys.  My budget is 300k max.  I was actually at toyota alabang last week.  The vios & avanza looks nice..leaning towards buying a new car now.  I'm practically a noob to financing. Any tips, where to get a great deal? what to look or watch out for?

Iwas sakit-ulo for the next 3-5 years.

If you are getting a used car, though, don't blow your entire budget to get the car, allocate 30% for repair and re-conditioning the car.

ive asked a toyota dealer on what was included in the 811k.  she said leather seats and i think cup holders?

you get all that by just adding 46k!!!  :lol:

best deal on financing would be on banks and not on the dealers.  pag toyota 30% for 3 years or 10% every year na gusto mo finance.  pag banks they could go as low as 19% or even less if youre good at bargaining.  hingi ka din ng mga feebies.  lahat ng ito ay depende sa galing mo mag negotiate.  and also, not looking eager to buy a car helps a lot.

lol! i would think that resorting to financing by itself is a possible sign of eagerness to buy a car.

I'd say it really depends on the make and model. Tsaka tingin ko, as far as newer cars are concerned, halos pare-pareho na ang maintenance costs.

If I have that money, medyo mag-iipon pa ako ng konte for a Civic 1.8S.  884k yung matic.  849k yung manual.

Toyota is also a good brand.  But with their car's tag, I'd go for Innova instead.

if you're going to get a Lancer or a Corolla, just wait for the newer models to arrive. ganda ng 9th Generation Lancer and Tenth Generation Corolla. :) oh, pati yung 2008 Mazda 6. ^_^

Focus Diesel!

It's Focus' top-of-the-line model.  21.70 km/L daw with a massive 320 torque vs 185 for 2.0 gas.  Common rail with 6-speed MT.  Nice.

But I still want the Civic 1.8S.  :lol:

@slide

member po ako nung hcp website.  i have a problem posting topics there.  it seems they have a minimum requirement on topic creation.  do you know where and how many i need to post?  have a few questions about my honda.
if it's a first car,  buy a more recent model para less maintenance hassles.  pricey yata ang 255k for the base model civic of that generation.

you may want to check http://z3.invisionfree.com/HCP

same here.. recently I've registered on that site..
validation is done. but Errr.. can't even reply to any topic nor create a new thread  :angry:

also car hunting mode here.. :lol:

my mom just bought a 2nd hand car nissan sentra sedan 4-door. it needs major repair like repaint, new tires, wiper busted, pawis stearing, glass, door .etc. but engine still ok. How much do you think it will cost to make it look new again? btw i dont know much about cars but i know how to drive hehehe.

Apporximately:

Repaint= P30k
Tires= P3k a piece

Wiper motor or blades? Broken glass or doors? Pawis steering?

BTW, learn.
