When having the "ENCUMBERED" stamp removed from the OR, do you need to bring the car to the LTO where the original file is located or just bring the OR, latest CR and certificate of cancelled encumbrance (from the RD)? Mine  was registered at LTO-Tunasan, Muntinlupa and not relishing the idea of driving in traffic.

Just the documents. they create a new OR for you without the Encumbered statement on it.  IIRC.

Nice. So things turned out exactly as TNT2bluz said, a short spike quickly absorbed by other producers.  ;D

Need help in deciding between Honda HRV vs. Hyundai Tucson Gas. Interior space between the two is almost the same when we checked. Price is roughly the same with the discounts that were given. Hyundai does have a promo right now for free 5 year PMS for units bought until end of November. HRV has better tech between the two (LED headlights, Apple carplay, etc).

TIA!

In my experience with Hyundai, with the PMS, they will make you pay for consumables, regardless of whether you need to or not.  A CASA visit for car typically costs anything form P5k to P12k.  They would replace and sometimes claim to replace parts according to 6 months periods rather than actual odometer reading.

My experience with free PMS from Mazda is only oil and filters  are free. If there is anything else you still have to pay for it.

And labor.   Just did the third Yojin PMS on my CX-5 as well.  Quick and painless.   Well, the Insurance renewal was painful...lol

Coverage of free PMS includes lubricants, labor and parts daw (though from the list parts include only filters):
https://www.hyundai.ph/shop/promos/5x5-free-pms

I've had good experiences with honda vehicles so far in terms of reliability (civic ES and Jazz GD). How's the quality of Hyundai/Korean brands nowadays? Any ideas on the usual "sakit" of the Tucson?

Well they are no longer our dad's and titos Prides, Esperos and Excels. Quality has gone up. Well Toyota still trumps them in terms of parts availability (as they do even other Jap cars). But there are shops at Araneta Ave who specializes in Korean marques.

Hondas have gone the direction of reliable and are beginning to compete with Toyota's in terms of boring.

Hence Mazda.

Yup all regions using the 1.5T have the problem. Gasoline blows by the seals and makes it into the oil.

"Fix" is change in programming to have the car heat up faster, but owners complained it didn't help that much, and it made the car lose power and get worse fuel economy. China rejected this as Honda's proposal for their recall.
