ECS DekNote A980 Display
« on: April 18, 2003, 12:24:03 AM »
Anyone else experience crappy WindowsXP Pro wallpaper color display with an ECS A980 with built in LCD screen? I use the WindowsXP wallpaper on all my machines at 32-bit mode, but when I got my A980, the display seems to render at 16-bit mode where you can see the color gradient stepping in the fade of the wallpaper. There is no actual change in display quality from 16-bit to 32-bit mode. I'm still using the built-in SiS651 video controller set at 64MB shared memory, I'm waiting for the GeForce4 420GO upgrade which arrives next month, hoping it will fix the problem. I did not experience this problem on any other machine or display I've used, even my A928 with it's built-in SiS650 video controller also set at 64MB shared memory.

Anyone else have this problem? ANy help would be appreciated.
