CSI: the PC game
« on: April 05, 2003, 06:51:36 PM »
I'm really interested in getting CSI the game. I went to virra yesterday but they still do not have it. Has anyone played this game yet? Based on the reviews, it's easy lang daw but the graphics are good naman.

Games based on movies/TV series/novels/etc. tend to have simple straightforward gameplay, but very few of them actually turn out well. I'm not sure about this one, though.

You make it sound like it's freeware.

Try having the discs replaced.

d. If you see a "DIRECTOR PLAYER ERROR - property not found #duration" error when starting the game, you have not properly installed QuickTime 6. To remedy this:

i. Insert Disc 3 into your CD-ROM drive and browse the files using Windows Explorer

ii. Open to the QuickTime folder

iii. Launch the QuickTimeInstaller.exe program and follow the instructions

Note: QuickTime 6 cannot be installed on Win 2K or Win XP systems if you do not have Administrator access. Contact your network administrator.

this is what i found on the readme file... even if im the administrator for this computer i still cant seem to install Quicktime properly ...

i downloaded the patch and it helped a little on the ubisoft intro... no errors there, although im running it windowed... when i try to start a new game, i get a "Director Player Error" "String expected <VOID>"

im returning the cds tomorrow in virramall

There's a review at Gamespot if you're interested. The game is mediocre according to it.
