ok, maki-sali rin...

1986: built-in Apple ][+ graphics *

1989: Computer (or was it Color?) Graphics Array (CGA)

1990: Oak VGA 256kb (but has special 800x600x16-color mode)

1992 or 1993: Cirrus Logic GD5422 SVGA 1Mb (ISA bus)

1997: Diamond Stealth 3D 2000 PCI (OEM) 2Mb upgraded to 4Mb  (S3 Virge)

2001: Voodoo3 2000 PCI 16Mb

2002: i845G - Intel Extreme Graphics (onboard AGP -- uses up to 64Mb system RAM for video memory)

2003: Leadtek Winfast A280LE TD ViVo 128mb  (Geforce4 Ti4200 128mb)

*other notes: Apple ][+ "high-res" graphics has 280x192x6 colors ("6" colors includes black and white)  -- I recall this was better than CGA which can display only 320x200x4 colors (at least I used to play and completed Ultima IV on the Apple ][+ and when I later played U4 on the CGA, the graphics appeared "worse").   CGA's 4 colors includes black but does not have a "white" color, IIRC...

p.s. looks like the graphics cards I've gone thru are very similar to barurutor's...
