Photos from Nikon's Microphotography Challenge are amazing! "Science is Art", as Arstechnica says:
http://arstechnica.com/science/2015/10/2015-nikon-microscopy-contest-winners-science-is-art/
Two samples:
A close up of the spore-producing structures in a fern.
One of three images from David Maitland, all showing details of plant tissues. This one is a close up of the vascular bundles of a papyrus plant.
Lots more at the link.

Canon's EOS-R and new RF-system lenses are announced:
https://www.usa.canon.com/internet/portal/us/home/about/newsroom/press-releases/press-release-details/2018/20180905-system/20180905-system
https://www.usa.canon.com/internet/portal/us/home/about/newsroom/press-releases/press-release-details/2018/20180905-rf/20180905-rf
Interesting that the new RF 24-70 L is about the same size as the old EF mount L but is now f/2.0. I guess that's the benefit of mirrorless. Oh and the kit lens seems to be a 24-105 f/4 L
