WD Green HD = many died
WD Green SSD = ???
Samsung is a better choice when it comes to microchip drives since most of those chips are also made by them.
just my observation

Not sure about voltages and polarities. But definitely not compatible with their plugs.

has anyone here noticed that the replies have alternating background colors?  lolz!  ngayon ko lang napansin.  yellowish yung isa tapos blueish yung isa.  sobrang subtle nung differences.  im wonder if it has always been like that...

Keep! Digital hoarder here; I delete nothing.

Movies? Lots of them. Usually action where there's a particularly cool scene, or comedy that just feels good. Not so much for drama though, those kinda lose the magic after you've already seen it.

Examples:
Die Hard - Christmas default if I don't find anything else interesting
BTTF
Indiana Jones
Star Wars original trilogy
Casino Royale (the 1967 comedy spoof)
Kenshin - action is always cool
Ranma - always funny
Pink Panther
Airplane - oh the puns!

No idea how many TB exactly for movies. Main rig currently has 5x2TB RAID5 and 2 independent 3TB (Got lazy to migrate the array because it's a lot of work for just a little more space. Maybe try again when 8TB drives are cheap and mainstream).

Drive/array contents are a mish-mash of movies, documentaries, tv series, anime, music and JAVs, somewhat organized into folders according to the aforementioned categories.

For movies I really like I tend to keep full BR-rips which can be 20-50GB each, then smaller 1-4GB 720P/1080P rips for the stuff I only watch once. Replaced all my yify rips. Those got unbearable after setting up the 90" screen. My second big space eater is documentaries. I've been keeping high bitrate 1080P rips of BBC Horizon and PBS Nova for the last few years. Love the visuals especially of the earth and space stuff.

Keep, moreso for TV series. Have a 5tb drive for media mostly in x265 format (upgraded from x264) over the past year. Currently around 2tb free.

i'm enjoying the movies now that I can watch it on a projector that spits out about 100", the max my room wall can go. when i look at 55" tv now I feel that is small moreso the 32" i have in another room. I will re-watch oldies on the big screen like 300 & totoro hehehe. Now i'm trying to avoid 720p & getting 1080p & 3D, man the Active 3D on this DLP(Xgimi CC) blows me away, better than some of the cinemas I've seen.

I was checking out those 4K movies & yikes! 50~60gig each!  >:(

@barurutor
seems like your library is still young lol
yes for TV series, Sienfeld, Black Adder, Life of Brian, Fawlty Towers, Family Guy hehehe
I often re-watch Mind your Language

how can you not enjoy this size in your own room, BTW this is just a 720P pj with 350Ansi Lumens

Around 320 movies, 40 anime series/movies, 92 TV series. Quality from SD-1080p only. x265 is huge space savings vs x264.

If I can find x265 or HD rips of old stuff, I re-download.

i love watching white chicks.  sobrang nakakatawa parin kasi yung scene na a thousand miles pinlay tapos gusto din pala ni terry crews yung song.  yun lang inuulit ulit ko.  hehehe
