Am getting 8.5km/li. So i aint happy.

How's your fuel efficiency guys?

About 11.8km/L in my diesel ride and 13.2km/L in my gas ride.

^Are those direct injection engine numbers?

Thanks for the info. Yep, looks like my fuel efficency is pretty bad. I was getting 12km/L on an old 1.6li sedan.  8.5km/li on this 2 liter engine.

Getting a new car just for the efficiency would be fools errand would it? (As if i got the money, haha.) Oh well, gamitin ko nalang.
Will never, ever buy a SONY ever again.

Yup Sorento 2.2L turbo CRDI and Mazda 2 1.5L SkyActiv. The gas car actually gets better mileage, but diesel is cheaper.

Somebody should make a local version. Candidate car: fortuner with a bronze paintjob. The car of choice of buttholes with no breeding lmao.

Ah the infamous Mazda rattling rack and pinion. So it has always been there. It should be a class action suit.

Also got into a bumper-bender incident over the weekend. Grab scooter crashed and scratched and dented my front bumper, sheared off the inlet tube of the windshield washer pump and broke the passenger side foglight housing.

Usually it'll take a long-ass time to make the difference. Plus you'll be making payments on that new car pa.

OTOH your daily drive could be something like this:

To think that something this size will now out-drag the venerable EK Civic SiR (B16A) and AE111 Levin (4AGE black top + 6MT)

I can't find it anymore but it reminds me of an article that compares the acceleration of an early 2000 camry to an 80's ferrari. It's the same. The boring camry will even win on some models.

Ae86 trueno vs. suzuki swift on a downhill touge. No dice =/. Life ain't anime regardless of how lionized these cars are. Indeed, they were greats of their time. But turns out, engineering and technology relentlessly moves forward in the auto industry. Not at Moore's law pace but still impressive.

Oh, I remember building my dream socket A rig 4 years after its heyday. For the sake of of nostalgia; that's my reason and the only way i could justify it. Overall, i would have made a faster rig with the then current parts. The NF7 is the same color as the Honda SIR.

A few years ago, while having my ride tuned at Speedlab, Sid was chatting with another customer how some diesel SUVs in the local market, even Koreans could, for the first few hundred meters outrun an 86 and given the correct +/- handicap could actually win a drag race. Yun lang sa dulohan, maiiwan na.

This video got me to delete stuff (i.e., toys) in my shopping cart. Nostalgia is indeed expensive.  :P

Indeed. Nostalgia: it's a hell of a drug.

Funny enough, sugarfree's kuwarto popped in while i was doing some food prep. This was after watching the "ganymede elegy" episode of cowboy bebop.

It's time to go, it's time be grown up.

Another treatise on nostalgia. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zWwsFNz5yrM
