The VDSL modem is model HG180U. I wonder if it is easy to switch to bridge mode. The pure fibr modem I am using at the office settings can't be changed. I asked PLDT to remotely switch it to bridge mode so I can forward ports from my router.

This used to be configurable but PLDT silently rolled out a firmware update that locks everything out unless you ask them for a (time-limited) admin account.

Luckily it didn't affect what's already set, and I had my port forwards already done when they rolled out that update.

We are upgrading from DSL plan 999 (allegedly 5mbps) + phone to UNLI Fibr 1899. But because we are on a condo, the fiber cable is only up to the wiring closet at the ground floor. The last few meters will be using VDSL.

I said "alleged" because before the ADSL modem would indicate only a downstream rate of about 4mbps. We were getting only about 3.6mbps effective download rate and a piss poor 700kbs upload rate. Soon after we applied for the upgrade, the downstream rate went up to 20mbps. On Speedtest, we were getting 16mbps.

The technician delivered the VDSL modem the other day but did not proceed to upgrade because our line was "not yet activated". A PLDT inspector came this morning and wondered why we are still on ADSL.

what floor is your unit in?
my classmate was able to ask the technician to install the fiber all the way to his unit on the 8th floor...

So today was the HOV dry run along Edsa. They weren't apprehending anyone but just taking down stats on how many violators. I had to renew my son's passport so we drove to DFA. As I passed and MMDA enforcer he motioned to his partner to jot down a tick mark on his notebook. I promptly rolled down my windows to show them my wife and kid were at the back asleep. They smiled and gave a thumbs up.

I have opted not to receive statement via snail-mail,  and still have some bills not received (checking online, April, i don't have the e-statement)... so it's really a problem within PLDT i guess.

^ Yeah we were bitten by that once too back when we had DSL. The delivery guy on our area sux and sometimes he'd pool 2-3 months worth of bills before actually delivering them. Coincided with PLDT's change in policy where internet is immediately cut after going past due.
i wonder why the change in their policy, though. it just infuriates subscribers, from what could tell from the guy in front of me in the line because he was also complaining about the same thing, and i have also overheard other people talk about it. it seems many were affected because the bill didn't arrive last month in my area.

mabilis talaga magputol ng net si pldt.  lolz!  you could try opting for the email billing if you want.  from what i know, pwede ka mag email at postal mail na bills ng pldt.  may dumadating parin na paper bill sakin kahit nag email na din si pldt ng digital copy.  maybe that could be an option for you.  register ka nalang din siguro sa website nila to view your bills online
may pinapadala naman sa phone ko via text na bill, pero mas prefer ko na dalin yung paper bill sa bayaran para sure. next time di dumating eh no choice ako yung text sa phone ko pagbabasehan ko.

I think around 2014 (perhaps even earlier because that was the time I got back to the Philippines and resumed paying for our PLDT subscription) nung nagsimula silang maging strict sa deadline. I remember in 2011-2012, I can let the subsciption go into arrears for a max of 3 months before they cut the service.

Anyway, also experienced non-receipt of billing last June, only to be slapped a 2 month bill and a warning. I think the ongoing dispute between PLDT management and contractuals and DOLE is taking a toll on their services.
