a cheap but very capable fone is the xiaomi redmi note 4/4x.  i believe this is xiaomi's best selling fone to date.

i got one 6mos ago for 7k and it has ff specs:

sd625 octa core
3gb ram
32gb rom
5.5in full hd 2.5d screen
13mp rear w/ dual tone flash/8mp front cam

currently running MIUI 9 w/c is nougat-based.  lovin the split screen feature  :)

4gb/ 64gb rom version is around 2k more

it shld be even cheaper now that the redmi note 5 is being released soon

ditch my asus zenfone 4 max after a couple of months- no major flaw just runs sluggist.

got a new xiaomi mi mix2, looks great, runs great, battery is good. Among the low bezel next gen look phones, I like the mmix2 proportion best. Also for people like me who's not into curved edges.

OnePlus got pwned, exposed up to 40,000 users to credit card fraud

A malicious script injected into OnePlus' payment page went undiscovered for two months.

Dunno if this affects local OnePlus users, but just a heads-up to check your statements in case there's anything funny.

from what i understand, its their website that was compromised and not the phones themselves.  i guess since most people here probably bought their oneplus offline there shouldnt be a problem

the reason why i hadn't tried factory reset on my Zenfone 3 Max to see if that would help with its fast battery drain problem is that Mobile Legend's options to restore an account are quite daunting. but i decided to do a reset and then resintall Ml after. and true enough after being forced to play the tutorial again i almost had a heart attack when i thought i have accidentally written my old account with a new one. fortunately, that is not the case after i restarted ML.

i'm currently recharging the phone. hopefully, it would no longer drain 40% overnight while i sleep.

-- update --

nope, battery still drains like crazy.

and from what i've been reading online, daming reklamo sa asus phones. bakit ngayon ko lang nababasa mga yan, hindi noong bibili pa lang ako. ah well tiis muna at gumamit ng power bank. gusto ko yung Huawei Nova 2i pero baka may paparating na new models na mas updated.
