mikolo: oh cool! 3 yrs lang yun Gainward eh. but locally, its only 1 yr, same with everybody else.

A Thermaltake Big Typhoon would do wonders, pare...kaso wala kami stock at the moment. Our Zalman CNPS9500LEDs will arrive sometime last week of November.

alot of people are shifting to 7800gtx.. but it really needs some huge cpu power to fully harness its true capability.. siguro an opteron 165 or X2 4400+ will do.. :-P

...sino kaya bibili ng mobo & videocard ko? :)

...ang kailangan ko lang ngayon is a faster videocard and a mobo with a pcie slot to handle the newest games.

a 7800GT will do the job na seguro... :D

actually a 6800Ultra needs a A64 3700+ & above to fully utilize the GPU's total bandwidth..

and you need atleast an A64 X2 4400+ for the 7800GTX.. :D

..pero sa mga links na binigay mo at ni scrambler, wala masyadong difference ang 3000+ compared sa 3500+ while using a 7800GT. :) ...so at this point what i need really is a faster videocard para maangat ko ang quality settings like AAx4 @ 1280x1024 or setting softshadows on sa f.e.a.r and using the dx9 path sa call of duty2 @ 1280x1024 :)

from xbitlabs...

so para umabot sa 43fps ang f.e.a.r. kailangan ko lang ng 7800gt... from 3000+ up to a fx57, the processor does not make a difference on fps :D ...i'm at the 20's to 30's kasi e using a 6800 & 3000+, 1024x768, medium graphics settings sa mga areas na malaki at maraming objects and kalaban, if kaya ng 7800gt gawing 43, then thats a good boost in gameplay na, considering na max detail settings nila ginawa ang benchmark...

kasi GPU limited yan game na yan. and trust me, even a 7800GTX has trouble runing smoothly at 1024 x 768 4AA/8AF on my X2 3800+. sorry to say this but your dream of running 1280 x 1024 on FEAR will still be a dream.

43 fps isnt smooth at all. ganyan din halos kuha kong ave fps on FEAR (50 to be exact) but trust me, its far from smooth.

but its an improvement from my 20-30fps :) ...and hindi lang naman f.e.a.r. nilalaro ko so sa ibang games i'm sure better ang performance gains ng gt or gtx...

so my best option para ma improve ang framerates ko sa games is upgrade  ng videocard not the cpu... (pero kasama na rin ang mobo kasi pcie na ang 7800gt e...)

yup, totoo yun since nearly every game benefits from a vidcard upgrade than a CPU upgrade. but since you are on S754, hanggang nF4X chipset mobos ka lang.

Not really...

The Apple Cinema Display only has a response time of 25ms. That's TOO slow for FPS games! Too much ghosting.
