It's slow at night for me when I play Lineage 2. FB and Youtube work normally.

The first damage occurred only last Monday... Aug 28. So it still does not explain the slowdown the week before that.

PLDT was down the whole morning but seems to have been restored as of this post.

i am on plan 999 DSL @5mbps + landline bundle. i want to upgrade to fibr 1899 plan, does it include a landline in the 1899 monthly fee? how long should it take for them to upgrade my connection (don't tell me it's as long as getting a new connection... LOL)

Yes it already includes a landline and a 20mbps connection...
just make sure you specify it's the unlimited internet plan and not the high speed internet plan (landline + 50 mbps - 300GB cap).

thanks. is the landline monthly fee included in 1899 or on top (making it 2500 monthly, IIRC landline is 600/month)?

That is only good as long as there is an open Fibr port near your location. I've been trying to upgrade mine for the last 6 months. No luck so far.

Me too. Every 3 months since the start of the year I keep applying via their website. In fairness they call within a day or two but sadly wala pa infrastructure sa amin, nasa kabilang barangay pa.

^ I asked all my friends in my street to apply online for the fiber service and they also asked their neighbors to do the same...

And I felt that PLDT "expedited" the installation of the infrastructure on our street thinking that a lot of us are going to subscribe

I heard that the infrastructure that was meant for the main street was diverted to our street... not sure if my friends have upgraded yet. lol

its already included.  and from what i know, you actually get processed faster with a new application than upgrading your plan.  mas mabilis sila mag install pag new plan ka.  and also, try to look for an agent to handle your application.  mas mabilis din pag ganun.  the landline is plugged into the pldt router so when the router is off you also do not have landline too

My wife put a damper on my plan, she reminded me that the condo we live in doesn't have fiber cabling inside yet and we'll end up paying extra for that, especially we live in the 5th floor...

hmm, will inquire with our condo as well. it is low-rise, so i am not sure if we have a shared cabinet or wires are run up to each unit.

I just got installed a few weeks ago. I applied online Saturday, and they are already installing it on Monday (sadly I was not at home), and got installed Tuesday, it got activated Thursday.

1899 20Mbps Unlimited plan, it includes a phone, and I didn't pay anything, and since I "switch" from a competitor, I have 6months 50% discount on the bill. so for the next 6months, I'll only be paying 950 (no installation fee, and no modem fee)

So far I have been getting consistent 20Mbps up/down -- I already setup a "remote" connection, so I just connect to my home desktop and do all "personal"/non-work related stuff on the remote desktop (even youtube plays quite OK on the remote desktop)
