they said even while you're at the stoplight... so hands off talaga sa phone.

at least i can still eat my sinigang or meals on a sizzling plate in the car :P

lolz!  may nabasa nga ako na yung mga "other" things you could still do while driving.  troll na troll ang dating.  naisip ko nga din parang nadidistract ako pag yung jeepney driver kumukuha ng bayad pero tumatakbo parin yung jeep nya.  galing talaga mag multi task!  hahaha!  another thing they can still do is get and count the payment of their passengers while driving.

Was talking about this with some friends the last couple of days. It seems absolutely no phones really is the rule elsewhere. One of them got caught in the States, another in Germany doing basically that. Stopped at a light, pull out phone and (like a ninja!) moments later the police dude is outside the window writing a ticket.

^ Yup

AFAIK the late April to early May rollbacks were -0.30, -0.85 and -0.90.
We've now had a +0.30 (last week) and +0.65 (this morning) increase.

I wonder what'll happen to those who were wrongfully slapped with a 5k fine.

I had a horrid experience with Dunlops before. LM702's from years back. They went oblong on our Civic VTi. Haven't used Achilles tires but they used that in the endurance race before and it lasted.

Haven't tried nor heard of achilles tires. But maybe one gets what he pays for:

When i replaced the GT radial champiros (cheap brand, but grippy as far as i can tell,) it had hairline cracks from the inside. Not so with michelin xm2s even after 9 years.

Why not consider bfgoodrich t/a advantage tires too? It is Michelin's value brand.

Got mine at entire car care centre, Nicanor roxas st., cornern Apo st., near banawe QC

No relation except as a very satisfied customer.

Eh, nagpapalit ako ng gulong every 6 or 7 years. Lost my chance to try continental CC6 as advertised by tiara at SLEX billboard. http://www.tiara.net.ph/#
Will never, ever buy a SONY ever again.

Wow 9 years. I'm surprised that the tires were still intact. Take note that tires only last for 5 years. Old rubber is what they say killed Paul Walker. The Carrera GT they were on had old tires that still had a lot of tread but had lost its grip.

^Yeah i might have been pushing my luck. Pero michelin eh =).

Carmakers  such as Nissan and Mercedes-Benz tell consumers to replace tires six years  after their production date, regardless of tread life. Tire manufacturers such  as Continental and Michelin say a tire can last up to 10 years, provided you  get annual tire inspections after the fifth year.

With that in mind, it's imperative to buy newly manufactured tires. The pair that i bought were made march of this year accdng to the date code.

That's why i buy my tires in manila instead of in the province as the tire stocks move faster.

--------
Even after a straight 6 hour drive from the north (via sctex and nlex) my freshly bought battery is charged only to 12.5volts (100% is above 12.6 volts.) I'm getting a ctek charger. I've written date codes on my last 2 batteries and they never last more than 2 years.

Think I'll recoup my investment plus i'll have peace of mind for my car that gets used about 2 hours a week.
