centos share mouse keyboard
« on: September 05, 2016, 07:59:34 PM »
mga bro

setup :
centos
pc1 with monitor with   WIFI  keyboard & mouse
pc2  (monitorA + monitorB)
pc3  (monitorA + monitorB)
pc4  (monitorA + monitorB)

Gusto naming macontrol lahat ng PC using single mouse & keyboard.  para tipid.

OR

I think you just need to study how to edit Synergy's configuration file. I have no prior experience with it but from what I see through Google, it's doable with a dual monitor setup.

I haven't seen a KVM (locally available) that supports dual monitors.

Thanks sa mga idea inyo.

Na solved na.    Solution na ginawa namin in case need nyo rin.

host PC  (centos) runs  synergy as server with Wifi keybrd and mouse.
remote pc's  ( centos)  runs  "quicksynergy"  gui based that calls synergyc  and  everything runs  stable.

Weird,  if you do ps -ef |grep synergy, you can see the command run by quicksynergy on how it calls synergy.  but if we issue the same command line without running quicksynergy   synrgy always crashed and resulted to coredump.

anyway we will just use this method that saves us from buying kvm.
