About edge, it seems to abandon downloads if you accidentally close the program.

i currently have windows 8.1 installed on my 250gb samsung 840 evo and have reserved for the upgrade.

however i will be upgrading to a 500gb 850 evo.

can i image my 250gb installation and transfer it to the 500gb before doing the upgrade, so i don't have to be asked for reactivation? is hdd change a "significant" enough change that i would need to reactivate my key?

On the last remaining PC I left un-upgraded, looks like Microsoft is installing Windows 10 behind my back. We are being lured to a huge fish trap whether we like it or not.

It still is their software - after all.
I'm back to square one with detaching USB storage.
The same old issue with WinXP - Win7 and Win8.1 now Win10.
They'll get a patch out soon enough but hey it's new shit from the same shit maker.

^ doesn't the client specifically say it's P2P? No different really than any of the other bittorrent based download clients (Blizzard).

Pretty impressive though how swamped things got. AFAIK Microsoft made bandwidth arrangements to the tune of 40TB/s to roll out Win 10, and "something happened" still happened.

Some of my worst fears about Windows 10 and multi monitor or SLi support just came true... lol.  Man, Anyway, I kinda chuckled at the 8Gb total VRAM being reported...  anywho,  If anyone needs the cool Windows10 wallpaper ... but in 5760x1080, I made a canvas expanded version here...

I am on a dual monitor setup. I like the way the wallpaper can span both monitors.

I don't know if it is true with windows 8.1. Because of the tiled start menu, I decided I don't need the taskbar to be visible all the time and so I enabled auto-hide. Now that it is auto-hide, I decided to move the taskbar back to the bottom. Previously, I moved it to the left part of screen Ubuntu style. On the dual monitor, I was pleasantly surprised the taskbar pops up on either of the monitors depending on where you bring down the mouse.
