agree.

it doesnt really look enticing. in 6 months to 1 year, samsung, htc, etc will release 1.5-1.8 ghz, quadcore android phones with better everything, the iphone 4s will be unable to compete.

What a let down.  It is obvious that the competition have already catch up on Apple and some have actually overtook them already.  Currently have an iP4 but my next phone won't be an Apple anymore, in fact I am now looking into SGS2.

lol

but on the other hand, the 4S is really a powerful phone with matured apps and features i don't see any reason why people aren't going to upgrade to this.

because most of them just spent loads of cash on their iPhone 4. hehehehe

btw, I love the parts where they said:

"....iPad, 3...... out of the 4 tablets sold...."

and iPhone... 5%

^But if you look at it, thats still a lot considering the number of phone manufacturers out there.

if you were able to watch the keynote, Tim Cook did say that the number would be higher if it were just smart phones. 5% market share for all handsets worldwide is impressive considering that the iphone has just been around for a number of years and updates just a single model once a year. Compare that to the other smartphone makers that releases a new model almost once a month.

well, i was more leaning towards about the idea that if you weren't attentive enough you'd thought there's an iPhone 5 already. :)

i'm not questioning Apple's phone/smartphone market share, because they are really good in marketing, if had the money, I'd get one myself.

its a universal letdown from forums all over the world . stock dips 3%- millions and millions of dollars lost.

but if you drop by philmug, its all standard fanboy praise for the iphone 4s.
"its the hype w/c is to blame"
" the form is perfect, why change it"
"I dont need lte, 4g n all that crap."
" better screen will increase battery consumption."
" siri alone is a good enough upgrade"
" weaker specs is nothing since it has better ecosystem."

it still is pretty much a competitively specced phone, except for the lack of LTE which is just backwards. though you just have to get around its ridiculous pricing.

not really a sound analogy. you failed to consider what apple will do in the same 6 months to 1 year. so we're not really sure if those android phones will be better. apple does refresh their phones annually too. my 2 cents.

two different takes on it:

what is certain in this world is uncertainty...
