The World at War.  I watched this when I was still in grade school.  RPN Channel 9.
I don't have a sig.  Wouldn't know what to put even if I had one.

Rick "rolled" Astley would never :
- Give you up
- Let you down
- Run around and desert you
- Make you cry
- Say goodbye
- Tell a lie and hurt you

I too watched that series, every afternoon after school :) I guess that was what got me started on documentaries. "the World At War" is still one of the best WWII docus ever made, narrated by Sir Lawrence Laurence Olivier.

Back then, local TV was much more educational and intelligent, even with harsh Marcos censorship

I remember an astronomy docu on ngc hosted by that guy from jurassic park
also I remember watching a naked science episode dealing with relativistic theory and quantum mechanics. though really 1 episode alone isnt enough to cover the basics.

I don't think I have watched that, so sorry, I can't tell you anything about it.

But now that I remember, I think History Channel has some good docus on the subject. The Universe is the title, if I remember correctly. Search EZTV.

Anybody has a copy of the old Discovery Channel series Exodus Earth? Thanks!

Anyone know a good documentary/series discussing large scale military tactics/strategies/formations/movements from actual historical battles? Not so interested in modern era ones, I'm thinking more around the ancient eras up until the early age of gunpowder/muskets.

Travel Documentary:
Departures
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Departures_%28TV_series%29

must watch for all travel enthusiasts. 3 man team, travelling the world with just a large backpack in tow.
hanep sa photography/videography/editing. considering iisa lang lagi ang may hawak ng camera.

Wife and I are into S1E6 now. I already have the first 2 series.

give it a try.

source around the net is on an m4v format. Had to transcode to mkv para playable sa tv namin. :D

EDIT:
kahit na hindi travel enthusiast magugustuhan ito. you will see the world from a different perspective right inside your living room.

I can't stress it enough, go watch this series.
