^ good stuff.

I'm not much of a audiophile but I do love my X-fi sa PC and will defend it (like I always have) vs onboard audio. I dont mind changing setting in between songs. I dont like my philipps headphones very much, hate my ipod earphones and my car's stereo needs some serious upgrading :p. Medyo picky rin kahit papano I guess. wala lang pambili lol.

I did have a bose acousticmass + yamaha amp + woofer before ondoy though, pwede narin.

B&W 602/Wharf (old pics)

powered by Pioneer A-717 twin potted transformers, 100 watts per channel RMS into 8 ohms

old school studio monitor speakers my dad brought from Japan

I used to have wharf/yamaha receiver home theater set-up, nagsawa din ako :)
Kicker set-up sa kotse, nothing exceptional, pero not bad narin.
shit happens.

Ipod shuffle 2nd gen 1g->Sennheiser PX100 or Sennheiser MX400 depending on mood.

I had/have:
Sennheiser HD495 (laspag na yung foam)
Sennheiser HD497 (lost)
Sennheiser HD201

but they're all back in the PH.

I want to try the Sandisk Clip+, maybe will get one in the next couple of months.  I'm quite happy with the PX-100s for sound quality/price (libre pa yung MX400 when I got them, hehe).

B&W and Wharf, both kevlar.

Panalo talaga B&Ws, they're definitely worth the moolah.  However, that's not to say the wharfs aren't on a level of their own.  They sound really good, you just need to pair them up w/ a good beefy amp.

vey nice setup

your lucky over there, dito kasi sa HK hindi kami makapag paptugtug ng malakas at siguradong mag rereklamo yung kapitbahay. last time I was watching Terminator on my HTPC connected to the Denon AVR-2105 kinatok ako ng kapitbahay dito  #_#

& if you won't lower down the volume police will come & you could be evicted from the flat :(

kaya hanggang ganito nalang muna ako
AKG's

parang hirap ang tenga ko kasi sa mga earbuds pero yung sa TDK na may malambot na foam na nag eexpand parang ok na sa akin yun at halos total silence pag yun ang gamit ko

+1

Lalo na pag HQ audio source, decent gears, proper speaker placement at acoustic treatment sa listening room. FTW talaga.

Not to take anything away from head-fi, though (greatly simplifies the above and cheaper but still different).

^ I totally agree wit you guys, I have an HTPC setup in China using a 5.1 genius Soundcard + a sub woofer & watched Swordfish (travolta) & the sound was awesome when the bomb exploded i could really hear the sound turning around from right to back to left then center - woot-woot! talaga sya BUT for now HeadPhones muna me & i'm letting go the Denon AVR-2105, sayang lang kasi sya hindi masyadong nagagamit.
