for general street photography, pwede na yan.  indoor photography will sometimes require a flash though.

Hindi na nga ako maka-afford bumili ng 70-200, gagastos pa ako para magrent ng extra body/flash :) Gusto ko sana lens lang para magamit ko yung existing canon body/flash ko...


@barurutor: walang 70-200 2.8 sa cameracart :(

Well, in the end, I rented a Nikon 80-200 2.8, and borrowed my brother's D200+SB600. Wasn't able to use my Canon

gusto ko kahit 17-85 IS USM. meeeeyaaaaw...... meeeeyaaawww....

^^ You may also consider 17-40 F4L.  Cheaper but it won't make you look cheap.

1st thing to consider is the anti-shake feature, i honestly need it.. the 17-85 is the at the same price
range as tamron 17-50, therefore i need to choose between IQ or IS+range...
can i have all those features in just $300 range? kekeke!

I recently upgraded to Tamron 17-50 and sulit cya for its price.
No IS but I never missed it after upgrading from IS kitlens.

camera shake at 50mm?  baka kailangan mo munang tumigil sa mga hand-intensive activities.  tulad ng pagtanggap ng labada.
