Redundancy Check pagkakaalam ko.

Kapag disable mas mabilis performance.

As far as I know, yes.  It's the same with ram modules that have ECC checking.

yups tranced, but most manufacturers discourage the users into using ECC check for the L2 cache as it slows down operation.

You could look into these sites for understanding:

http://www.brouhaha.com/~eric/computers/ecc.html
http://www.goldenram.com/support/ecc.asp

i think AnTho, hindi mo na kaka-ilanganin ang SDRAM or DDR or RDRAM na may ECC dahil wala namang difference sa performance and reliability yun for common usage.

and besides, may extra premium yung ECC-equipped memory module na i think won't be of m

the rojak's bios guide actually recommends that L2 ECC be enabled, especially when overclocking...

http://www.rojakpot.com/Speed_Demonz/New_BIOS_Guide/CPU_L2_Cache_ECC_Checking.htm

although L2 ECC is usually recommended "disabled"

Doesn't ECC mean Error Check and Correct??
On my opinion this is how ECC would work
all data or processes would undergo checking first before being cached or executed thus resulting to less performance because of the time consumed for checking data[

ECC checking is good for servers.  You can't afford to have errors when you want a super stable 24/7 system.

According to memory manufacturer Corsair, a typical computer with 256MB of non-ECC memory has several memory errors every year.

ECC memory, when properly used, eliminates this problem. It stores 64 bits of data in 72 bits of physical memory
