bro lagay mo naman yung specs mo. we cant help you if you don't put details about your setup.

well, if i were to try to answer u based sa sinulat mo sa taas, it seems na baka dahil sa overclock yan (kung nag overclock ka), or maybe may short yung mobo mo sa ilalim ng case. did u put masking tape sa metal standoffs mo dun sa case? kasi pag nagcontact yung metal standoff sa likod ng mobo mo, it may cause your mobo not to run properly.

ah ok.. eto po ung specs:

athlon xp 2200 @ 1800 (not OC'd) + Vol 7+

asus a7v333

512 kingston ddr333

gf4 Ti4200 Tv-dvi 8x + ZM80C-HP

HEC 350W

1 CDRW

1 DVD ROM

40G HD 7200rpm

btw, ung vcard ko, inOC ko, umabot ng 300 clock freq and sa mem 560

(using coolbits)

pero napakabagal ng CnC generals and nag fflicker na ung monitor, so i set my monitor to 85MHz,

and i set my vcard setting back to default speed..

edi ok na ung takbo, but the next day, when i turned on my pc.. un ganun na nangyari..

actually may friend rin ako ganito problema upto win98 logo tapos hang na..

sakin naman ung nga, black screen apti keyboard wala...

sana matulunagn nyo ako... hehe

tnx

You mean there's no way to get into system restore from safe mode? If you can, do that first.

If you're overclocking, throttle down a bit or put it back at default.

i think the most probable cause nyan ay masyadong mataas yung refresh rate ng vid-card mo at di kaya ng monitor mo. i suggest trying to boot in safe mode and open the device manager, go to monitors and delete/uninstall any monitors na naka-display... don't worry windows will redetect your monitor and set the default refresh rate. i hope this helps.

i forgot... if the above doesn't work also un-install your vid-card drivers.

Have you exhausted all possibilities like removing the card and reseating it?

have you tried reformating your hdd and reinstalling your OS? and have you also tried your video card with another mobo?

you will need to system restore using a bootable floppy.

boot from a bootable floppy to dos, at c:> type the following:

c:> scanreg/restore

choose a restore point dated prior to your crash.

I encounter this problem too but not in win xp sa win95 @ 98

cause improper shutdown sa tingin ko lng...

* ang solution ko sa win95 ay reinstall.

meron p bang ibang way dito?

* win98 naman scanreg/fix pero mabagal naman ang windows.

try to boot to safe-mode with command prompt. on the prompt type: %systemroot%system32estorestrui.exe that should start system restore. check mo lang kung pwede. sana lang me restore points.

bro, sa safe mode mo:

-- try to uninstall the drivers for the video card. the drivers will leave a few files and reg entries behind so try to d/l the utility that will "clean" the leftovers from www.guru3d.com

-- after this boot to normal mode, it is supposed to have solved the problem. (if the problem was induced by the video card OC)
